Luke is 8!

I can't believe how fast these boys are growing up! Luke turned 8! The day before his Bday we went school supply shopping and he picked out his bday presents from us and used some grandma money to buy some legos. Our boys have one track minds...legos, legos, legos. Later that night we took him out to eat at Shari's.

He got some candy from grandma that she knew he liked.

He requested an ice cream cake like Rees'. He wanted blue icing and a BYU "Y" on it somewhere, so this is what he got.

Luke opted not to have a big Bday party (thank goodness!) He just wanted a few friends over for a movie party. So we invited 4 friends to have a pizza lunch and watch the movie Rio.

They ate pizza & fruit and enjoyed the movie. We had popcorn and M&M's too!

Can't believe how big you are Luke! You are such a great kid. You have lots of energy and love to be active. You are so sensitive and sweet natured. We love you tons!

Luke 2nd Bday!

Life Saver

I get to brag for a while about my great mom. She is such a huge life saver. Every baby I've had she has come immediately for 2 weeks to help out. So nice. Once again she came. She cooked, cleaned, babysat, feed my children, took them on fun outings, rented movies, made treats, played with them, endless laundry & dishes, grocery runs, and just loved them.

She was always helpful to take Lydia to put her to sleep or burp her.

Darin was always making train tracks for Tagg and playing with him. They often went all over the house and even into the bathroom.

All Tagg wanted to do was play trains and go outside. Bless grandmas heart she got down in the bathroom to appease her 2 yr. old grandson. Now that is love.

She was always outside with Tagg, watching him, taking him on walks and such. This was huge because he just wants to be outside but needs someone with him. Wish we had a fenced yard.

Rees & Grandma.
She made Rees' bday happen, since it was so near Lydia's birth. Rees just liked having someone visit for so long and to hang out with.

To top it off my mom stayed an extra 3rd week because Jared was going out of town for a conference. That was a huge help. She even watched all 5 kids when Jared got back so we could go on a much needed date.

Because she was here, I was able to do some fun extra things with the boys and with her.

Thank you so much mom for coming for so long! Sorry if my boys gave you some attitude. She was such a life saver and we love her for her generosity. Thanks to my dad for letting her come and being a bachelor for so long. Thank you and we love you!

Fair Going

The local fair came to town. They only have one kids free day so my mom watched Tagg and Lydia while I braved the 90 degree weather and took the older boys.

They had a real live tiger there, he was totally zonked.

Since we only had about a 2 hr. window I bought tickets there, and with prices ridiculous they got to pick 2 rides each to go on. Darin was brave and went on the dragon roller coaster by himself.

He loved it!

Rees & Luke used their last tickets on the bumper cars and had fun.

We saw some more exhibits and animals then headed home. All in all, the boys had fun, but the fair is way too much money! We later went home for a popsicle and then I took all 4 boys swimming, it was so hot!

Growing Big!

Little Lydia is growing big. She eats like a champ and sleeps pretty good. She loves her binki, we will definitely have a "binki baby". She is starting to be more alert and we couldn't love her more!

I love crying pics.

Jared's mom always told the kids that when a baby grabs your finger it's their way of giving you a hug. So Darin is constantly trying to shove his finger in her hand. So cute.

One by one the boys snuggled in our bed one morning while I was nursing Lydia.

Lydia debuting her first dress for church. We sure love our little girl!
