Back To School!

We were ready for school to start...but nervous starting new schools and not knowing anyone.  As time ticked down we slowly did the usual shopping for it. 

It's like we had our own little school supply store.

Darin 1st grade - Mrs. Landrus

Rees - 6th grade - Evergreen Middle School

Rees' middle school was a little disorganized and had some difficulty getting all the correct schedules right and Rees had to figure out the bus schedule with a transfer bus included!  He did well though and is slowly getting the hang of it and making some friends.

Luke - 4th grade - Mr. Anyan

Tagg wanted to go to school too and got his backpack all ready.  He's preschool with mommy!

School is back, schedules are crazy, and life is going, going.  Just praying these boys make new friends fast and do well.  

Tagg Can Do It!

With so much extra time on my hands and lazy days with not doing much, I decided to finally put my foot down to potty train Tagg.  He's old enough and he gets it, he's just been stubborn.  It took one day of me insisting on him wearing underwear, a couple accidents and after about 2 days...he knew what he was doing.  So glad to finally have him out of diapers! 

He loves to use his little potty, but he will use the big one sometimes too. 

He went to the store and picked out some Thomas underwear...we are so proud!  And relieved.  There's nothing cuter then little buns in little underwear. :)  Yeah Tagg!

Lazy Summer Days

After 2 months of crazy vacations, traveling, and moving, and unpacking, the last month we just took it slow.  We had some great lazy summer days of sleeping in, watching movies, cartoons, playing, and we did a few fun things to explore the new city we are in. 

The boys had water fights, splinkers in the back yard a lot.  Here they are enjoying frozen gogurts.

Lydia just enjoys her time in her highchair...she LOVES to eat!

One thing the boys wanted to do was to camp in the backyard. 

Jared hooked up his laptop and they watched a movie together.  We also went camping with our ward, but I failed to bring the camera.  opps.  They always have fun camping.

Tagg was "watching" Lydia.  He laid all her blankets around her and talked to her.  So cute.

Here's where the boys were most of the time.  We bought new couches that the boys just melted into everyday.  They were often times on these sleeping or watching TV.

When they could pull them selves away from the couches Luke, Darin, & Tagg played with cars and made little towns all over the house.  Rees was usually reading, writing his book or drawing.

Darin took this pic...we also woke up to some awesome bed heads and lounged in jammies most the day.

Of course the boys spent many days playing with their new legos. 

The boys have been into Lord of the Rings and we found this cool park that has a rocky hill in the middle of it.  Perfect for pretend adventures...they begged me to take them back so they could bring their weapons and play Lord of the Rings.

We also drove through Spokane, saw some lakes, went to a movie at the local park and a symphony, family walk, blizzard run, school shopping and checked out Pig Out in the Park in Spokane.  We had a very busy summer but glad we had some down time as just a family.
