Fatherhood

Father's Day is a great day to honor our fabulous men in our lives. I hope Jared had a great father's day. He truly took on the father role and helped out tons on his supposively "day off". He cleaned up on a Jeopardy game in Elder's quorum and had his lasagna and bread sticks meal. He took a nap with Luke and we played a game that tested his knowledge of his boys. It was fun to go back in time and remember some fun memories. I am grateful for the wonderful husband that I have and the awesome father that he is and continues to progress to be. Thank you Jared for having the desire to be a father and embarking on this wonderful journey of parenthood with me.

Organized Chaos

So we decided to overhaul our house and change some rooms around. The beauty of having all boys is you can change up the roommates. We decided to split the dysfunctional duo (Rees & Luke) and make new arrangements. Rees shares a room with Tagg now and Luke and Darin share. We had to go through clothes and change closets and drawers. Jared changed Darin's bed into the crib, yeah Tagg has a real bed! Jared and I moved the futon upstairs for Rees' new bed. It's a bit tight but hey, it works. So far, so good, knock on wood. It was a bit crazy. We had to make a big mess to do all of this and the boys worked hard all day to reorganize their new rooms. Now I just need to go through all the closets. The work is never done.

Lego Creations

Rees loves to build with legos. I'm always impressed with the things he comes up with. He's always tweaking them and rebuilding and looking at pictures and trying to build what's in the pictures. I told him that I would post a blog with some of his lego creations. He is very inventive and I love that he can let the creative juices flow with his medium of legos. Rees you are amazing!

Last Day of School

Rees and Luke had their last day of school last week. Luke had his kindergarten graduation. His teacher looked into her "crystal ball" to tell them what their future would be. She said Luke will be rich and own construction companies and all the trucks and build lots of buildings and things. Luke thought that was cool. They also had a Field Day where they got to go around to all sorts of games and earn beads. The theme was Survivor - outwit, outlast and outplay. My friend Jenn helped with it and did an awesome job. The boys had a blast and are super excited for summer!

Luke's Tball Days

Luke decided he wanted to try and do Tball. Rees didn't have a desire to continue on with baseball but now it was Luke's turn. Luke had a really good coach that was super organized and taught the kids really well. Luke loved it! He made it to every practice and every game. I love that Tball level is pretty low key, don't keep score and don't keep track of outs. We are proud of Luke for trying a new thing and sticking to it!

Darin's Thomas Party

Darin turned 3 in May! Yeah, I'm a little behind. He loved his Thomas that came with his cake. He guarded it with his life. I couldn't have pulled this off without good friends. Him and his friends had fun running around the train track that I laid on the floor with masking tape - that resulted in sweat and sore quads. It was lots of fun for the kiddos. We love our little Darin!
